The ZW32-27kV outdoor high-voltage AC vacuum circuit breaker, also known as an automatic recloser, is an advanced three-phase AC 50Hz/60Hz outdoor switchgear using vacuum arc-extinguishing technology. Designed primarily for rural and urban power grids, this recloser is ideal for 27-35kV power distribution systems, enabling the safe interruption and reconnection of load, overload, and short-circuit currents. The ZW32 series complies with GB 1984 "AC High-Voltage Circuit Breaker" and IEC 60056 "High-Voltage AC Circuit Breaker" standards.
Utilizing solid insulation technology, the recloser integrates the vacuum arc extinguishing chamber, voltage sensor, current sensor, and zero-sequence current sensor within an insulating pole. This fusion creates a solid-insulated vacuum circuit breaker that combines primary and secondary components. It supports intelligent controllers, allowing it to perform as an automatic recloser, sectionalizer, contact switch, or user boundary switch in distribution networks. Additionally, it can connect to central control systems via GPRS or other communication protocols, supporting full distribution network automation.
The ZW32 recloser autonomously identifies and distinguishes between transient and permanent faults in the line, instantly clearing transient faults and isolating permanently faulty sections. This automated operation restores power in non-faulty areas, preventing prolonged and large-scale outages, and enhancing grid reliability.
This vacuum recloser employs embedded pole technology, featuring a sealed vacuum bottle for fault interruption and epoxy resin combined with silicone rubber for insulation. It incorporates a permanent magnet mechanism complemented by a spring mechanism, ensuring that, even if the battery is depleted, the device can still perform closing and opening operations via the spring system.
First and Second Fusion Features
Primary Recloser Part:
1. The recloser adopts a three-phase pillar structure, which has the characteristics of stable and reliable breaking performance, no danger of combustion and explosion, maintenance-free, small size, light weight and long service life. The three-phase primary circuit is installed in the insulating sleeve of each phase. When a single-phase failure occurs, it will not cause a three-phase short circuit.
2. The recloser adopts a fully enclosed structure with good sealing performance, which helps to improve moisture-proof and anti-condensation performance. It is especially suitable for use in cold or humid areas.
3. The vacuum arc extinguishing chamber and current transformer are insulated with outdoor epoxy resin solid and covered with organic silicone, which are resistant to high and low temperatures, ultraviolet rays, and aging. It eliminates short circuit failures caused by condensation and is maintenance-free for 20 years. IP65 protection grade.
4. The operating mechanism adopts a permanent magnet mechanism, which has the characteristics of long electrical life, reliable breaking and maintenance-free, and has more than 30,000 switching operations. Utilizes magnetic actuators to provide a lifetime of trouble-free operation. Used in conjunction with the permanent magnet controller, it can be used as an automatic detection, isolation and alarm for ring network line segment and branch line faults, monitor the operation of the line, and has the function of automatically restoring non-fault power supply. Switch configuration measurement, protection, control and communication function modules , to meet the requirements of power distribution automation.
5. The recloser can be equipped with a three-phase current transformer of 600:1A or 800:1A for overcurrent or short-circuit protection. It is equipped with 6 capacitive sensors to collect voltage signals and the secondary output voltage is 3.25V/√3; It can also provide voltage and current collection signals to intelligent controllers;
6. The opening and closing operations of the recloser can be operated manually or electrically and remotely. When matched with an intelligent controller, it can realize recloser functions, as well as remote control, telemetry, remote signaling, and remote adjustment.
Secondary Intelligent Controller Part:

Recloser Controller
The recloser controller integrates microprocessing technology and modern network communication technology. It supports a variety of communication protocols and allows the selection of multiple communication methods to form a communication network. The switch can be operated locally manually or remotely, or remotely controlled through the communication network. If equipped with corresponding recloser or segmentation control device, it can be used as a recloser or segmentation device.
Use Conditions
1. Normal usage conditions:
a, Ambient air temperature: -40℃~+60℃;
b. Altitude: no more than 2,000 meters;
c. The surrounding air may be contaminated by dust, smoke, corrosive gases, steam or salt spray;
d. The wind speed does not exceed 34m/s (equivalent to 700Pa on the cylinder surface);
e. Vibration or ground motion from switchgear and control equipment can be ignored;
f. Pollution level: Level III.
2. Special conditions of use:
The recloser can be used under normal usage conditions different from those specified above. In this case, the user’s requirements should be negotiated with the manufacturer and a consensus should be reached. If the above normal usage conditions are exceeded, the user shall negotiate with the manufacturer.
